For patients considering rhinoplasty who have high cholesterol, we would worry only about heart health so they can do well under anesthesia. That would be the only real consideration. Good luck!
Hello Dianas1530,Extremely high cholesterol at the time of surgery could affect the healing. Mildly high cholesterol 3 months after surgery should have no effect on your result. You may consider discussing this with your surgeon but I wouldn't be worried about that in my patients.I hope this helps and good luck.
Unfortunately you will have to wait a while before you can see the final result and/or before any corrective surgery can be made.Chances are the labiocolumellar angle will not change a whole lot. If that is the case, you will need a revision, including some grafting to lenghthen and de-rotate...
Pinching of the nose will not cause cartilage damage unless the pinching is so strong as to cause fracture and bleeding. I don't believe finger pinching could generate that much force. Swelling, pain and drainage could definitely occur but shouldn't leave any permanent damage.
You have two options-- one is to do a intranasal procedure which will give you some improvement, but the most effective way is to do a direct upper lip lift.
