Can a tummy tuck be done on someone with dermatographia (skin writing)?

I've had no problems with my skin healing after tattoos or stiche's. Just wanted to know if doctor would be hesitant to perform the surgery. Thanks in advance

Yes!  You can have a tummy tuck with a tattoo.  It will alter the graphic, but we can decide together where you would like things to end up.  We can try to minimize the distortion and make it easy to touch up afterwards if possible.

Thanks for your inquiry.  If your dermatographia is inot a symptom of some other more significant health problem, ie auto-immune diseases, psoriasis, etc, it should be no problem.  If you do have some sort of autoimmune condition or psoriasis then you will need to discuss further with yuor plastic surgeon.  In most people dermatographic is a benign process. Tummy tuck can be done with abdominal tattoos or any other writings on abdominal wall.   It may disturb the script or the tattoo and re-scripting and re-tattooing may be required.
