Question

I had surgery in another state 4 months ago and been having continuous issues with recovering from my 360 tummy tuck. In the past week, my abdomen is hard, sore, and round where I look 5 months pregnant. It was not like that in the beginning. It's definitely not pregnancy since that has been ruled out. I'll post some photos right after surgery and now. Any help appreciated since my surgeon is no longer available to me to ask. Thanks!

Hi there, you need to be examined to determine the cause of the problem, is this a problem with the tummy tuck or is this abdominal bloating from a gastrointestinal issue ?you can try and reach out to your original plastic surgeon who may be able to refer you to a colleague in your area. Good luck

Thank you for your question and photos.  No online reviewer can diagnose or make treatmetn recommendations based on photographs alone.  There are numerous reasons to have developed a bulge of the abdomen after tummy tuck.  Yes, disruption of the muscle repair is one reason, however, one could have developed a seroma or just relaxation of the muscles to the point that the repair is intact but still relaxed.  It would be beneficial to be evaluated by a surgeon and get an expert opinion.  Ideally a trip to see your original surgeon would be the most productive.  Good luck.
