Third day after ThermiTight and swelling has not gotten any better. When will it start to go down? What can I do? (Photo)

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. When ThermiTight is performed in this area, it is quite common for patients to experience significant swelling for many days after their treatment. Ice packs and lying with your head elevated are two good ways to help manage the swelling until it subsides. I would guess that while you might not look completely back to normal by day four, you should look much better by the end of the first week. Good luck and best wishes for good results!

Everybody has a different reaction to treatments. Some people are more prone to swelling. It is common for mild swelling to last a week or two after ThermiTight. You may ask your doctor for a compression bandage to help manage the swelling and/or a steroid medication if it is severe. You can also control it with ice and arnica. If you don't see an improvement in a few days, please consult the doctor who treated you. 

Swelling after ThermiTight is extremely common. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to resolve, not 4 days. There may be some mild swelling that can persist up to a month. I typically have my patients wear a compression garment after the treatment, it helps minimize the swelling. If have any concerns you should follow up with your treatment provider. Best wishes.

I tell my patients to expect at least 7 days of swelling and some bruising after a ThermiTight procedure. Sleeping with the head elevated at 45 degree, wearing a compression garment and gentle massage of the area can all help to resolve the swelling faster. Good luck!
