Is it possible to raise my hemoglobin from 9.0 to a 12.0 in 4 weeks? My SX is scheduled for April 21st 2016

If
you are currently taking iron i recommend you eat as healthy as
possible. Incorporate to your daily meals bell peppers, beetroot,
cucumber, spinach, liver and proteins. If you have any question contact
your doctor and also consider in case it doesn't increase change your surgery date because your life and health is the most important.

Nothing substitutes for a personal evaluation, a review of your medical history/medications and a face to face discussion of your options.I would ask your primary care physician and Plastic Surgeon the questions you ask.However here are my comments:1) why is your Hgb so low?2) shouldn't you correct the problem before elective cosmetic surgery?3) what procedure are you having? A big difference between eyelid surgery and a abdominoplasty or BBL...4) it sounds like you are trying all Iron supplements. Anemia can be caused by several other causes then just low iron...I trust you have chosen a Plastic Surgeon who is experienced and Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
