Can Botox change my round face to a long face?

I hate my face its has no definition it's a round shape. I dream of getting a long face can Botox and fillers give me a different shape?

BOTOX®
works by temporarily paralyzing tiny facial muscles responsible for creating
dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet or frown lines between your brows. However,
it doesn’t add volume and can’t be used to change the shape of your face.
Dermal fillers can add some definition to enhance your appearance, but the goal
for injectables is really for subtle improvement not a dramatic change. If
you’re young, the shape of your face may take on a longer look as you grow
older and fat distribution throughout the face changes somewhat.

If you have a wide jawline Botox can be injected into the masseter muscles to relax them. This gently reshapes the jawline to make it more narrow. Fillers can also give you more definition in your cheekbones. However, to determine what would be the best for you, please see an experienced injector.

To a certain extent, a combination of Botox and fillers can change the shape of your face.  Without examining your face, it's difficult to answer definitively, but in general Botox for masseter reduction will be able to narrow and taper the lower third of your face.  Using fillers to enhance the cheeks and the chin can further contribute to lengthening and slimming the appearance of your face.

Thank you for your question.Many patients are reluctant to have surgery and want all their problems whisked away with nonsurgical options like botox or filler. Botox is an amazing product and does wonders for forehead, glabella, and smile wrinkles. Although it can do this, it cannot change the length or morphology of your face. Unfortunately, or fortunately, botox can not change the overall shape of ones face. Botox exerts its effect by selectively paralyzing muscles in which it has been placed. Your facial shape results from a complex interaction of the underlying bone structure, muscles, fat and your age. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the question. In terms of non-surgical changes to face shape, there are some things that can be done. Botox, for example, can be used to reduce the size and thickness of the muscles at the angle of the jaw. This area, known as the masseter muscle, can make the lower face look square. Soft tissue fillers can be used to add volume to flat areas, which, in some cases, can give a more angular facial contour. For significant changes in the shape of the face, surgery is required. This could include placement of facial implants, addition or removal of fat, and even changes to the bone structure of the upper or lower jaw. Best of luck moving forward.

Please have a consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and learn what your treatment options are. Keep in mind, as well, that dermatologists are all about non-invasive procedures whereas some of the plastic surgeons see only the scalpel as the means to the end – which in this case is simply not needed if you choose a more non-invasive route.We have known for quite some time that the use of Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin in the masseter muscles can take a round face and when done correctly, make the face more oval.
