8 weeks post op Tummy tuck & muscle repair. Pinching pulling pains in my top abs. Is this normal or should I be concerned ?

Around 6 weeks post op i noticed these pains. It's when I'm sitting, standing or any position I feel it pulling or pinching. I don't know if I shohld go in and get it looked at or what I should do

It is my pleasure to answer your question. Its normal to have that uncomfortable after an abdominal wall reconstruction. This can be passing until one year of post op.

A full abdominoplasty is major surgery.It can take several months to feel normal again.In some ways, your body may never feel the way it did before, but patients tend to get used to their new bodies and with time, almost all discomfort eases, and the pain goes away.Some patients will have certain discomfort for six months or longer after this procedure.Let your plastic surgeon know how you're doing.Hang in there.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
