I had tummy tuck 8 weeks ago. I've been cleared for light exercise and have been walking up to 5 miles. Last night I put my binder on before bed because I was feeling sore and tender. I rolled over in bed and felt sharp pain in my mid-upper abdomen. It was very hard to get out of bed this morning--still uncomfortable and then pain when I move. I'm feeling like I should go back to wearing binder full time and no laying flat like immediate post op. Anything else I can do?

Answer: New pain 8 weeks post tummy tuck. What can I do?
I would not be too concerned as it is only a small part of the wound and not uncommon following a breast reduction. I would recommend protecting the wound with steristrips and a occlusive dressing and refrain from any physical activity. This would ensure the wound stabilises and is able to heal.
Thank you for the question. I often advise to perform a tummy tuck and liposuction together because this way you will save on downtime and have just one recovery period for both procedures.
