i had botox 13 days ago i had all over botox including bowlift, forhead, chin, 40units into masseters and also into the lip for 'lip flip'. why has my smile completely changed? will it take 4 months to wear off or sooner? thank-you.
Answer: Lip flip... The Botox affecting your smile could be the Botox injected for the lip flip or the masseters. I suggest you see your injector. The lip flip Botox is not likely to go all the way to 4 months, but you can get a better idea of when this will resolve after you see your injector. I am not sure why you're asking "why"? Did you not know how Botox relaxes muscles before you had it injected? Best.

Answer: Smile Changed after Botox There are many muscles around the mouth, jaw and cheeks that control smiling. The most common cause of smile asymmetry after Botox is that one of these muscles was inadvertently injected, or the Botox diffused. The good news is it should be temporary and wear off after 2-4 months. Good luck!

Answer: Botox and smiling Thanks for your question trrc! There are numerous muscles located around the jaw, cheeks and mouth that contribute to the action of smiling. There is potential that the Botox may have dispersed or been inadvertently injected into a surrounding muscle leading to an undesirable result. Botox gradually wears off after 3-4 months so the effects will not be permanent on your smile, and if only a small quantity reached the incorrect target muscle then potentially even sooner! Discuss your concerns with your injector at your 2 week review! Thanks again :)

Answer: Botox Smile Hello,Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Depending on what area the botox has been injected, it can trigger certain muscles to relax. These muscles will play a role in your overall smile. Botox can last anywhere up to 3-4 months. However, if you are regularly exercising it can be less.
