The botox was already reconstituted (diluted) and in a vial before it was injected. I read posts about similar issues afterwards and get very worried. Can you please suggest me what to do next? Since it has already been injected, I’m not sure if confronting the provider will be useful at all. I have no evidence to prove so. If there does exist problems with the botox, how long will it take for the symptom to appear?your help means a lot to me.
Answer: There is no reason your botox solution would be yellow Botox bottle and liquid reconstitution is clear. I cannot imagine why it would be yellow unless there was some yellow light reflecting through the bottle or they used some counterfeit substance.

Answer: Good communication... Hello Lainey.I think you should contact the medspa and get an answer as to why the mixture of Botox was yellow in color. I'm not sure what the coloring means, but I also think they would not be belligerent in hearing your concerns. Best.

Answer: Botox is a clear liquid once it's dissolved I can't think of an explanation why your Botox would be yellow. I'm not aware of yellow-tinged syringes so that shouldn't reflect light in a different way if the syringe is clear. Was there yellow tape on the syringe the provider uses to identify it or was there yellow tape on the bottle of botox? You should ask your provider. In my practice we date every bottle once it's mixed and it's rare that it lasts more than one working day in our busy cosmetic practice. In other practices where Botox isn't done all that much, it may stay unused after mixed for a while but it still shouldn't turn yellow. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Answer: Botox/Xeomin/Dysport--Results Take 1-2 weeks The reconstituted Botox should appear clear. If you are concerned, I recommend following up with your injector. It can take up to 2 weeks for final results with Botox. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Yellow botox Yes I would agree this is quite concerning. Botox that has been properly reconstituted should be colorless and completely clear. I would be on the lookout for anything different in the region of injection, but most notably signs of infection ( redness, swelling, heat). When you are ready for your next injections I would highly consider a different facility. Even though you do not have "proof" it is never a bad thing to voice your concerns to both the facility/provider and if needed the appropriate regulatory agency. A provider would want to know that the experience occurred under their care.
