Do cheek fillers lift the corners of the mouth?

I have been told that cheek fillers are the solution to the corners of my mouth dropping. I have had botox to push the corners up before, but this didn't last long so I want something more permanent. I am 28, and really want to have a happier look, it makes me look very miserable. I am looking at getting a tiny bit of filler in my top lip. Please help :)

Yes, fillers can lift the corners of the mouth depending on what the problem is. If your cheeks are hollow, then filling the cheeks will affect the lower face. If the problem is muscular, then you will need an assessment to see if Botox can solve your problem. A picture is helpful.

Thank you for your question. You would benefit with a combination treatment of Botox and Juvederm. I would use Botox in the DAO muscle and Juvederm in the corners of the mouth and marionette lines. Fillers can be used to lift the corners of the mouth.  The best (and most aggressive) treatment is usually using a combination of longer lasting fillers to the cheeks, softer fillers to the area right under the corners of the mouth, and neurotoxin (for example, Botox) to counteract a specific muscle that can pull down the corners of the mouth.  The different combinations, strengths, and specific fillers need to be decided on with a face-to-face consultation with an expert injector.  I hope this helps!

Dermal fillers on the cheeks using Voluma or Radiesse help replace volume loss and can lift the corners of the mouth to some degree. Depending on the severity, one may still need to get some fillers like Restylane or Juvederm  to camouflage or improve the look of the marionette lines.

Yes, cheek filler can be done to neutralize the corner of the mouth.  We do not want to literally lift the corner of the mouth "joker" style but we do want to neutralize it.  A sturdier hyaluronic acid filler like Voluma or Juvederm Ultra Plus XC placed in the upper cheek to periosteum is the technique that works best for achieving this effect.  I recommend you see a dermatologic surgeon for this procedure.
