Filler moved from my upper cheek towards my temple. Why is this happening?

I had filler injected in my upper cheek and it drastically moved upwards towards my temple area and I had other fillers move as well from this nurse who injected me. Why is this happening?

Fillers can move and may be a result of poor injection technique or poor choice of filler for the given location injected.  I suggest going to an expert in the field for your next round of injections.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In all the 1000s of patients I have treated, I have never seen this happen. Did you by any chance massage the filler after injection?  Perhaps the filler could be injected at a deeper level, ie., supraperiosteal, to prevent this in future treatments.I am a strong believer in having filler treatments with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an advanced injector.  This is a procedure that requires intimate knowledge of the anatomy and years of experience to get right.
