Help! I always noticed that my face was rather long, especially in pictures. Whenever I would photoshop my pictures, I'd shorten the space between my eyes and my nose, trying to make my face look more smushed together, basically. However, I think this looks much better than having such a long face. I feel like my face is unproportional. What exactly is the problem here? Why does my face look oddly long and unproportional?? Is this able to be fixed with surgery?

Actual surgery for eyes that are too far apart is sometimes performed on children with extreme cases. A much simpler method is to add a graft to the bridge of the nose. This can make the eyes appear closer together and is commonly utilized in Asian Rhinoplasty.

To give the illusion of closer eyes, sometimes a dorsal onlay graft to a flat nose can create this. Best to see you in person.

Hi,The best way to decrease the distance between the eyes is raising the naso-frontal angle with a graft or an implant. You can try a non-surgical rhinoplasty with a filler but this is temporary.Best,Dr.S.
