Can Breasts Continue to Grow at and after Age 19?

There are of course genetic variations but it's unlikely you'll have substantial additional breast growth after the age of 19. Breast augmentation is a safe and predictable way to get larger breasts if that's what you desire.

This is an excellent question. The end of breast development is different amongst women, most are complete by 18-20 years old, but it can be as early as 16 or up to 22 years old. However, a woman's breast can change size with weight fluctuations, pregnancy and hormone use throughout her lifetime.

Most women have reached their adult size by the age of 18.  Still, that is a rather arbitrary number.  Some finish growing earlier, some later.    My guess is that you probably won't change much more by this point.  Other things that can affect breasts are weight gain/loss, pregnancy, periods, etc.  You did not provide a photo, however, based on your description, you may have an aspect of tubular breasts present.  Tubular breasts tend to be more pointy than round.  If you are unhappy with the size and shape of your breasts then there are options.  I would suggest consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss those options.

At age 19 it is unlikely to experience further breast development, although not impossible. With the exception of hormonally induced growth through birth control or pregnancy, you likely have attained your final size. 

At 19 your breasts still may experiment some grow or changes. Usually pregnancy and weight gain may enlarge them.You may also choose to get a Breast Augmentation.

It is unlikely that at 19 if you have fully matured that your breasts will grow significantly unless you gain weight.  You might want to consider breast augmentation.

Averages are just that. Though most women may not develop further after age 19, some will have developed sooner, and some will indeed develop later, even as late as age 22. The first breast development is often pert and more cone like, and will change as you grow and develop different body fat, and the breast really only matures at your first pregnancy. You might be the lucky one, imagine the 14 to 15 year old "early bloomers". Late can be better.

At this point it is likely that your breasts have stopped developing. You are at an age where patients often start seeking consultations with plastic surgeons to discuss breast augmentation. During your consultation you can start to figure out what your ideal breast size would be, and discuss issues regarding breast shape with your surgeon. Large breast size can certainly run in a family, but it does not mean that all the women in the family will develop large breasts. Dr. J

Yes, they can. While most wpomen have pretty much finished developing by age 19, some are indeed "late bloomers". It would be extremely unlikely however that you would go from a current B to a D or DD. The shape of your breats is just simply that....the shape of your breasts. It may or may not influence any recommendations for necessary procedures to improve them. Without photos there is no way to advise you.
