Can I get a breast reduction if I have diastolic dysfunction, sickle cell disease and asthma?

If you are medically cleared and stable, and will receive blood the day prior, You should be able to have surgery. I would suggest spending the night to be safe.

With your complex medical history you are at a higher risk for surgery. I encourage you to meet with board certified plastic surgeons in your area for a consultation. If your surgeon feels you are a candidate she/he will need to coordinate with the anesthesiologist and possibly your specialists to create a surgical plan for you.

Hello, thank you for sharing your question, in the case of the patient with multiple pathologies, for this particular procedure and case, we use laser to reduce blood loss and the expected bleeding would be approx. 100 cc which would not require a transfusion depending on the pre-surgical blood levels and this would improve its prognosis and results.
