Is a Breast Reduction covered by FMLA?

I want to get a brazilian butt lift&need 3 wks off work, cant afford using pto,need that for a vac in Aug. I know bbl is not covered by fmla but what if I say it's for a "breast reduc"to help back pain? which I do plan getting in the future anyway.I know its not good to lie but I like to think of this as a "white lie" lol, would my employer ever find out like would this be possible to get by? How does the fmla process work for non elective surgery&does a breast reduc. to help w/back pain qualify

I can answer this because my wife is an employment law expert!  You have to fill out an FMLA certification and the doctor is required to sign the form as well.  Falsification of the FMLA application can be the basis for discharge from your employment as well as referral to the criminal court system.  This is not only more than a white lie but would involve the physician as well.In terms of breast reduction, this would be FMLA eligible.  FMLA leave is unpaid leave, btw.  However, if a breast reduction is covered by your insurance, you would be eligible to use short term disability, if applicable at your job.

You would have to get your plastic surgeon to lie for you as well, so I doubt this will work.  And what about when you do get the breast reduction, which may not even be covered by the FMLA?

This is not a white lie, it is total dishonesty with youjr employer and cause for termination from your job. No ethical physician would sign off on this.
