We are building a house and my concern is whether I will be able to help install tile, flooring, etc. I workout currently, obviously will have down time and won't push it, but need to know if 6 weeks post-op I'll be able to help lift some stuff, install stuff, paint, etc. What are people typically lifting at this point? I know everyone is different, but on average.
Answer: Surgery Most ladies are close to full activities by this time. With especially heavy lifting, you may be restricted for 2 more weeks.

Answer: On average, my patients are good to go at 6 weeks; check with your surgeon's protocol At that point, it's just listening to their bodies for what is comfortable. Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Blk04, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Breast Augmentation with Mastopexy Recovery Time Hello, for my patients I do not restrict activity after six weeks post op. At that point, the healing has plateaued in most patients, and I allow them to resume all activities that they could have performed preoperatively.

Answer: Post op recovery You must clear this with your surgeon, however, I allow my patients to return to the gym slowly starting at 4 weeks. If you are doing heavier labor, I feel 6 weeks Is adequate. I would suggest both wearing a sports bra and using silicone tape to help support and protect the breasts and incisions. Best wishes.
