How long before I will see my final size after a mastopexy?

Hi. I had implant removal plus a reduction and uplift 7 weeks ago. I was a 34G cup and wanted a C cup. I’m healing well and breasts are very symmetrical. They feel smaller and look much better but they still are large. Fed up with the support bras I went for a fitting today and was very upset to find I’m a 34 E. I want to be able to buy pretty bras in normal sizes but today I’ve had to buy the same type of large ugly bra that I wanted to get away from.. Could the size be swelling still or not?

Thank you for your question you are still swollen this can take 6-9 months for it to go down just be a little more patient and continue to follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.

I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process at 7 weeks post op.
  
Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.
  
At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the operated area are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides, you will be able to see the final result of your breast lift surgery.
  
But if you are still concerned, you can always visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. This way, you will be reassured. Also, if after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss the possibility of revision surgery.
  
Lastly, follow your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions and advice for faster healing and recovery.

It is likely you still have swelling from your surgery. You should be able to get a pretty good idea about your final breast size approximately 3-6 months post op although it can take the body approximately a year to fully heal from surgery.

Thank you for posting your question. It normally takes around six weeks for swelling to settle and it usually at this point that I advice my patients to be measured for their new bras. If your surgery was complex there is a chance that it will takes another 6-8 weeks for the things to settle down.

Thanks for your question and provided information.
You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months. Be patient, it is too soon to determine your final result.
If the situation doesn't improve over time, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
