Sensation can take upwards of 1 year to normalize. In some rare cases, completely normal sensation may never return. However, most will return to some semblance of pre-op normality.

I suggest waiting anywhere for 1-2 years to let the nerve regenerate. I would suggest taking a dry washcloth and manipulating it to help "wake up" the sensation. You can find other suggestions online or ask your surgeon.

Change in sensation is one of the risks from breast augmentation. Typically it resolves within the first year after surgery as swelling resolves and tissues heal. Changes that remain after twelve months can be permanent. It is a good sign that you've had some improvement in sensation.

My experience has been that most patients will have a slight decrease in nipple sensation, but it is very rare for patients to loose sensation completely.
The amount of sensation change is usually dependent on the aggressiveness of the procedure.
Small implants will have less affect on stretching the nerves and large implants may put a lot of tension on nerves affecting the sensation.
Changes in sensation after surgery can continue to evolve for several years.
