Would I be a good candidate for breast implants after breast reduction & vertical scarring? Photo)

Surgery to insert an implant through inframammary fold incision will restore the volume and improve the shape. I don't think I need to do another breast-lifting surgery, but I think I need to trim the remaining skin on the cleavage side a bit.

Your incision can be placed in the crease under the breast. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. Having a breast reduction does not exclude you from every having breast implants. The implants can be placed through a few different areas none of which are the vertical scar.

I recommended that you have an in person consultation with two or more board certified plastic surgeons in your area and try on sizers.

It appears that you would be a good candidate for breast implants. This is not an uncommon procedure after breast reduction. Most patients achieve good outcomes from the procedure. Seek a consultation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon.

You may be a good candidate for either breast augmentation with an implant or fat grafting. You may also benefit from skin tightening with a breast lift. An in person examination is necessary to help guide your decision.

Hello, from the picture provided it does appear that you would be a great candidate for breast augmentation. It would be aesthetically nice to get some upper pole fullness. Typically, those incisions would not be vertical but placed through about 3-4 cm of your inframammary incision (tucked up and under in the natural crease of the breast).

Hi. Based on your pictures and anatomy you would be a good candidate for breast implants. You have a nice result from your breast reduction, and like you said it sounds like you have lost some volume. Since you have already had the lifting part that goes with the breast reduction that you had, your surgeon should be able to to use a several centimeter scar within your pre-existing scar, such as along the inframammary fold, to place the implants.
I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience with breast augmentation and that surgeon can go over those options more specifically for your scenario.

Hello, thank you for your question. Yes in short you would be a good candidate for a breast augmentation to fill in some of that volume that you lost. I would speak to your plastic surgeon about your options and what you want to look like after, you may need a small revision to lift your breast tissue up again.
