Breast implant revision 650 to 795cc UHP silicone implants - will they drop faster since I already have an existing pocket?

dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.

I would want to know why your initial implants didnt "drop". Was it because the muscle fibers where not release adequately, did you develop capsular contracture? With a larger implant, the tissue will stretch to a greater extent because of the weight. So, yes your tissues will stretch more, however, the implant may sit higher as that is likely what you are shooting for.

I would discuss your revision surgery further with your surgeon and make certain you are clear of the expectations after surgery.

No, there may be even less "dropping" since such a large implant is being used. Most of it will not be under the muscle because of the size, and it will sit where it is placed. Gradually, you may sag because of such heavy weight on your tissue. I do not recommend going larger.

Most likely, your surgeon will open the pocket in the inferior aspect, allowing the implants to sit lower, and this should alleviate high sitting implants. I suggest directing questions about your procedure to your provider Who’s going to do the operation.
