I had the gummy implants. Why is the Ruhr one so much smaller now? Had my surgery 3 years ago.. why do they look like this now? Is my doctor responsible? Will he in this with a idcount? So angry!! Will he fix his mistake?
Answer: Implants Silicone implants cannot shrink, but you can loose some breast tissue. Your surgeon is not responsible for that. Saline implants can shrink with deflation, and there is a warranty for this. Since it has been 3 years, I doubt your surgeon will do free surgery. He/she cannot control what happens to your breasts over a 3 year span. However, your surgeon might give a discounted fee for revision. If you were unhappy initially, you should have contacted your surgeon then.

Answer: Shrinking Implants Thank you for your query. A little more information will be useful to figure out why your implants are decreasing in size. It is possible that there is a leak and this can be confirmed with an MRI . It is also possible that there is a capsule around the implants giving an impression of constriction. Another possibility is reduction in the size of the rest of your breast tissue. Silicone gel implants or even saline implants do not really shrink in size unless they leak. If indeed there is a leakage , most companies provide a warranty for the implant and their replacement. It will be best that you discuss this and all other concerns with your surgeon who can help you. All the best!

Answer: BA results Dear l.steele55, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
