I got my breast augmentation 2 years I had gotten 650 cc high profile silicone implants. I'm 5'3. They make me very insecure bc they are just way too big for my frame when I asked my doctor not to make them big. My question is bc I'm very young only 22 years old my skin is very elastic and contracts very easily, will I be able to get a breast implant exchange and re-position w NO lift? I want to go down to 300cc NO Bigger, maybe moderate profile and get the side of my implant pockets Stitched
Answer: Implant exchange It's difficult to say if you will be able to have the implant size reduced significantly and not require a lift. I encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for an in person evaluation and a discussion of your options.

Answer: Mini lift with smaller implants You will need a lift to reposition the external skin envelope. In your before photographs, your areolas were widely separated and had little cleavage. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, smaller implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implants Because of the amount of stretched skin with such large implants, you may need to go down to 400 to 450 cc's so that a lift is not needed. Your pockets can also be tightened internally as well. Going to 300 cc's may leave you with too much skin.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear johndoe133, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Breast Implant Exchange - can I get them repositioned? I agree you can "try" exchange to moderate profile + implants in the 650-700 cc ranges with lateral pocket capsulorraphy (closure though usually will not hold). But your chest wall and breasts anatomy might preclude to more lateral placed results. Expect fees in the $10,000 ranges.
