I had a breast augmentation 2 months ago (+245, dual plan) but my areolas are still sagging. I'm disappointed because we did not mention the possibility of a lift before the operation. But now, the result is not perfect. Do you think it would be possible to do an areola crescent lift or benelli to have the nipples at the right place? Or only a true lift can do this? I put the before/after photos so it can help. thanks a lot
Answer: 2 months is too soon to do anything
2 months after breast surgery is too soon to see what the final position of the implant will be. It appears from the photo that the implant upper pole is still swollen which should go down over the course of 6 months. As the upper pole swelling decreases and the implant settles the nipple position and shape will improve. You should discuss all this with your plastic surgeon. From your photo the nipples look like they are in good position and what you may be seeing is the upper pole swelling which is making it look like there is a nipple position problem.

Answer: Breasts Sagging after Implants
Nipple Areola Position is OK, and I would not recommend additional scars for no benefit. The implants may drop 1 cm or so in the next 3 or 4 months, and this may be what you are after.

Answer: Nipple position two months after breast augmentation
Thanks for your pictures and question. Based on you pictures, it appears that your nipples are in a good position in relation to the rest of the breast mound. I would not recommend any intervention. If any further surgery was performed, it is best to wait another 3-4 months.

Answer: Sagging nipple areolae after breast augmentation I agree with the other plastic surgeons on this forum that two months is simply too early to judge your postoperative results. Breast implants typically descend over the first six months after surgery, and final results are usually not apparent for up to one year. As the implants descend, the nipple areolae will appear to be rising (the same way that if the car next to you backs up at the stoplight, you will have the illusion that you are accidentally moving forward).Do not do any further surgery until your results are final (at least six months and preferably a year after surgery). I suspect that your results will be satisfactory without further surgery.

Answer: Several options are available
Hello,
Thank you for the question and the photos. You have several options available to you to improve the position of your areola and nipple. A purse-string areolaplasty would be the safest and best at controlling the areola shape and position. This could even be done in the office under local anesthesia. The key to that procedure is proper design and the use of a permanent internal suture to prevent scar widening. A crescent areolaplasty is not recommended as it will stretch the top portion of the areola upwards. You may also want to entertain the idea of a circumvertical lift (lollipop) as this will also tighten the lower pole of your breast. Of course I would certainly give it a reasonable amount of time before you proceed with any of the above options since it is early in your recovery period and additional changes will undoutedly be seen.
All the best,
Dr Remus Repta
