I have tubular breasts and horrible symmetry so i have been told that teardrop and fat grafting will work for me, however i love the look shape and feel of ergonomic implants, would i be able to get ergonomic implants with tubular breasts?
Answer: Implant type Dear Genius802889, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Treating Tubular Breasts What I think you are actually asking is whether or not anatomically shaped silicone breast implants can be used to treat a tubular breast deformity. They absolutely can be used and prior to the ALCL scare several years ago, it was pretty much all I used to treat these patients. I believed that shaped implants give a far superior result, particularly, because they can provide improved lower pole expansion which is one of the unique problems associated with tubular breasts. The problem with using such implants is that they are all textured by definition. There is an association of a rare type of cancer known as anaplastic large cell lymphoma with use of textured breast implants. It is important to discuss the pros and cons of using these implants with your plastic surgeon to determine if the benefits outweigh the risks. The simple answer to your question is yes, absolutely.

Answer: Tubular breasts Tubular breasts require surgical release of the tissue around the nipples that is constricting the breasts. Based on your photos you do not appear to have tubular breasts, or your situation is mild. You have a distinct breast fold and no visible constriction of tissue around your nipples. A straightforward breast augmentation, with your preference of implant, may be sufficient.

Answer: BA Tubular breasts are a specific breast shape that can be corrected with surgery. In some cases, teardrop-shaped implants or fat grafting may be recommended to address the asymmetry and shape of the breasts. However, it is ultimately up to your plastic surgeon to determine the best approach based on your unique anatomy and desired results. Ergonomic implants are a type of breast implant that are designed to provide a more natural look and feel compared to traditional round implants. While they may be a good option for some patients, it's important to note that they may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with tubular breasts. Your plastic surgeon will be able to evaluate your individual needs and goals, and recommend the most appropriate type of implant for you. It's important to have a thorough consultation with your surgeon and ask any questions you may have before making a decision about breast surgery. Best of luck !
