Is there recommended treatment to reduce pain and swelling in the pubic area after tummy tuck. I'm 3 days post op. Not feeling too bad other than in this area. Had breast. Drains removed today but in my nervousness forgot to mention the pain and swollen pubic area. See my surgeon again in 3 days to take out tummy drains.

Answer: Tummy Tuck - Post Op Swelling? Thank you for your question. You should expect to have swelling for three to six months following tummy tuck surgery. Use of a properly fitted compression garment will help decrease the length and severity of the post-operative swelling. As the swelling decreases, the contour of your pubic region, abdomen, and flanks will dramatically improve. Please follow your plastic surgeons specific advice regarding your level of physical activity. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
