I just had laser liposuction three days ago for my gynecomastia, but no glandular tissue was excised. While my chest does look smaller, my nipples now seem to puff out a little bit more than previously, which I feel might make my anxiety worse once I stop wearing the compression vest. I know I should give it time to see if it's just swelling which will go down on it's own, but should I also think about talking to another surgeon who can remove the glands?
Answer: Give it time Hi Lion13, I understand your concerns but you are very very early in the healing phase to start judge your results. If you went to another surgeon or look at the responses on this forum, most will likely tell you to give it the adequate amount of time before you seek further procedures or consults. Male chest will take about 4-6 months for the area to fully heal. If at that point there was gland to remove, it can be done at that time. Hope this helps

Answer: Gynecomastia treatment In my experience liposuction of any kind is great to remove any fat tissue in your breast areas but the gland itself has to be removed surgically. The small cut under the areola heals great and should be invisible in a few months. Once your swelling subsides the only definitive treatment will be excisional surgery. Best luck

Answer: Removal of glands after Laser Lipo procedure? Laser liposuction can remove glandular tissue. It is important to wait at least 8 weeks to evaluate your result. I understand your concerns but is is just too early to see if you will need glandular excision. If you do feel you need further glandular excision at 3 months wait at least 6 months before another surgery.

Answer: You're Still Swollen - Don't Fret Yet! You are still way too swollen to be evaluating your results. You should expect the nipples to swell, as they've sensitive and full of blood vessels. I know it's hard to do, but you really need to give it time to judge the results. Keep wearing your compression garment, as that will help the swelling resolve as quickly as possible.

Answer: Hard Lumps Under Your Nipple After Laser Liposuction for Gynecomastia..... It is too early to tell for sure, but in my experience, laser lipo isn't a good treatment for nodular (Hard Breast Lumps) gynecomastia. It easily removes fat, but doesn't remove breast tissue as easily. Therefore, this can leave you just as described with hard remaining breast tissur lumps. First recommendation is to be patient, let the wounds heal and the swelling subside, usually about 3-6 months, then re-evaluate the results.
