Will laser assisted lipo help me lost a pant size or 2?

Liposculpture is designed to contour bodies that are already in shape or are just a little bit overweight. It isn't a weight-loss procedure. However, you can expect to lose up to two to three inches of fat, which may well translate into a lower dress size. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will determine if you are a candidate for laser-assisted liposuction.

if your goal is to loose two or more inches from your waistline, then power assisted Liposuction maybe the right procedure for you. Adding laser to your treatment does not increase the retraction of your skin post op, but it does increase the time it takes to complete the procedure. When a patient has poor elasticity of the skin, it is more difficult to complete the numbing potion of power assisted Liposuction. You shouldn't be scared to undergo outpatient Lipo! Reconsider having laser Lipo and focus on two inches off your waste line and continue to avoid sugar. Sugar/carbohydrates are the enemy!

If you are overweight, you need to lose weight first before undergoing any cosmetic procedure to get the best outcome. For best results, it is recommended to be at your ideal or stable weight before getting a sculpting liposuction procedure. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, rather it is for sculpting and defining and removing problem areas that cannot be removed with weight loss and diet / exercise alone. Thanks for the question. Fundamentally liposuction in any way is a body contouring operation and not a substitute for weight loss. That being said I have had excellent results performing liposuction on people needing a boost or a kick start in weight loss. The motivation from seeing a positive body change can be incredibly significant. We have had patients lose 50-75lbs in the few months after surgery simply through the motivation of a positive life event!

If you carry excess fat around your abdomen and hips, liposuction can be very helpful. However, if more of your fat is internal around your organs, only weight loss will change that. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns and options.

Laser liposuction removes areas of diet resistant fat and can reduce waist size. However pant size is primarily determined by your underlying bone structure of hips and pelvis so you may not reduce paint size.
