Zit or infection due to restylane (photo)

Thank you for sharing your question. The bump appears to be a pimple. The area around it is inflamed and the location is a little lower than where the filler was probably injected. I would recommend that you call your injector today.  You should discuss whether an oral antibiotic might be indicated.  If the problem were to persist, you could consider an injection of hyaluronidase to dissolve the Restylane.  Make sure that you are seeing an experienced doctor, preferably a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon.Best,Dr. Ort

I would be surprised if this bump was related to Restylane injections under the eyes, especially since it occurred, as you said, several days later.  Most likely this is a "pimple" and it will go away on its own over time.  However, because it is hard to be sure, I would suggest going to see a board-certified dermatologist for an evaluation, and if it is a large pimple, you might want to get it injected to make it go down.
