So this has happened both times I’ve had Botox. The first time, I thought it was injector error, so I went to another place (reputable practice, saw a PA with many years of experience) and it still happened again. So I’m wondering if it’s something unusual with my anatomy, and how to prevent it in the future? I would love any ideas on how to fix it if possible because the first time, it lasted 6 months. I had 20 units the first time and 16 this time. My forehead was not treated.

Hi, thank you for your question! Snoring is not a side affect of platysmal band botox. The side effects of platysmal band botox being injected improperly can be difficulty breathing or swallowing. This is a very rare side affect and can take up to 3-6 months for the muscle to regain normal...
Many times a combination of both treatments will help to enhance or correct the areas of concern. In your case I would recommend filer to the anterior cheek, this will give volume to the cheek and lift the face as well as improve the appearance of the under eye region. Botox in your masseters...
I would recommend a filler directly to the line to try and even it with the surrounding area. It shouldn’t require a whole syringe so depending on the injectors policy, you could use the remaining syringe somewhere else in the face/lips. Hope this helps!
