Botched face/neck lift. What happened? (Photo)

I would approach this problem conservatively at first . . .
before doing surgery at this point. 
First, the bands . . . if they are residual
platysma bands, then treat it with extensive Botox to weaken/block the function
of the platysma bands.
Second, I
would recommend using ultrasound to soften and weaken the platysma muscles and
the scarring/cicatrix of the tissue. 
Hopefully with these two treatments, the neck can be markedly improved
or even corrected.
Next, the
“pixie” deformity can be corrected surgically. Make sure you start the
reconstruction in a step-wise manner.

Thank you for your question and for attaching a photo. Unfortunately there are not a lot of great solutions to restore your hairline. An experienced, well trained plastic surgeon plan incisions to make sure the hairline is maintained and the incision lines are hidden as well as possible. A dramatic change to your hair line is an obvious sign of a face lift and is hard to correct. It can be made a little better, but I say "it is a long run for a short slide". As for the bands, it would be better to have a resting view to determine what would need to be done. I would find an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who is an ASAPS member in your area. Call the office and make sure they perform a lot of face lift procedures and revisions of face lifts. You will probably have to pay for a second opinion, but an in person consultation to determine what can be done to repair the hair line and potentially do something with your bands in the neck is best at this point. Thank you for the question and for sharing your story. I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. Other than poorly planned incisions, I'm not sure what to say about the hairline issue. In my practice, in addition to face and neck work, we also do hair transplantation via Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method. I have used this successfully to restore the hairline and temporal tuft hair in patients who have had facelifts elsewhere. If a revision of the lift is also needed, that should be done first. It is unfortunate that your hairline got destroyed, as it is a tell tale sign of a facelift.  When facelift is performed by a facelift expert, the hairline is mostly preserved.  It is possible to correct this deformity, but the results are suboptimal. It is always best to preserve the hairline in the first place.  As for your platysma distortion, it would be ideal to examine you with the muscle at rest, to determine if another surgery would be appropriate.  Seek out an experienced facelift specialist for an in person evaluation.  

Hi,Your photo is very limited to make any evaluation, based on the information you have provided you seem to have pixie ear deformity this can be fixed surgicaly, your hairline does not seem in a good condition, but a  professional facial plastic  surgeon can  hide the incision very well, for your hairline you can benefit from PRP as nonsurgical option and you  platysma bands can be treated with botox.You need to find an expert, professional facial plastic surgeon to get the best possible result.Regards,

Thank you for your questions and photos. I am sorry that your procedure did not turn out the way you wanted. Normally, a Plastic Surgeon will plan the incisions so they are hidden in the hair and do not change the look of the hairline itself. There are some options to help the hairline. In our office, we have been doing PRP/stem cells injections to promote hair growth in patients who are thinning. We have been getting amazing results. This may be an option for your hairline. A second option is hair transplant. I recommend scheduling a consult with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced in face and necklifts. They will be able to assess your neck and platysmaplasty issues. Some Plastic Surgeons offer hair replacement as well. Good luck!
