Hi! I have really bad TMJ and have been getting massester Botox for the past few months. It’s helped a lot with the pain and has slimmed my face tremendously, however I feel it’s slimmed my face so much that I now have no defined chin/jawline. I’ve been looking at getting chin filler but I’m also scheduled to get a few more units of Botox to help with the pain that has returned. Can I get both of these within a day or week of each other? Or which should I get first if I need to spread them out
Answer: Timing Yes, you can have Botox and fillers a day apart. However since you mentioned that the Botox treatment has caused significant changes to the jawline you could consider waiting two weeks for your filler session. At that time your Botox will be in full effect.

Answer: Botox & Filler Can Be Used In The Same Treatment Session I have many patients who come to me from all over the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Middle East who routinely request treatment with fillers and Botox within the same treatment session for logistical travel reasons. And many others, more local patients, simply desire the combination for convenience, as well. There is really no problem in performing both kinds of treatments in the same session. My suggestion, however, is that, if the Botox is to be injected anywhere near the area where the filler is injected, the filler treatment should be done first followed by the Botox. If done in the reverse order, there is a possibility that the manipulation of the skin involved with injecting the filler can potentially disperse the Botox into areas where it was not intended with the possibility of increasing the chances for adverse reactions. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Yes Hello, That's a great question. Typically it is safe to do botox and filler in the same session. If you are finding the botox is changing your facial profile in the masseters, you might consider waiting for the botox effects to take place prior to doing the chin filler so the provider can have the best assessment of how much filler to place and where.

Answer: Ok to do I would do filler the day before, and then BTX the next day. In some cases, I will do the same day if patients coming from a distance. But with filler, sometimes the icing or molding or swelling could theoretically potentially spread the BTX — so waiting a day or 2 can potentially be helpful.
