I have had many doctors in my life like most people but I have never had a doctor as as good as Dr. Joel Cohen. Every time I have seen Dr. Cohen I always feel listened to by him and never rushed. He always has the right solutions to deal with whatever I have going on. He is very knowledgeable and skilled, as evidenced by the treatments and positive outcomes I have experienced. I am so grateful to have a doctor that I know really cares about his patients as I think that is very hard to come by these days. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Cohen and the About Skin office.
Dr. Cohen has been wonderful to work with during my PRP treatments. He is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and patient with answering any questions I’ve had and even providing additional resources outside of my in-office treatments. He goes above and beyond for his patients and truly cares. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dermatologist in the Denver area. I have been a patient of About Skin Dermatology for over 12 years. Everyone that I have ever encountered at this practice has been knowledgeable and very kind. I see both Dr. Ho and Dr. Cohen. My skin has not looked this good in years. My whole family goes to this practice. I would highly recommend About Skin Dermatology.
Absolutely GREAT! Dr. Cohen and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Cohen performed Mohrs on my face and did an excellent job. While there for that visit he discovered melonoma in situ on my arm and removed it soon afterwards. which I'm so thankful for. Most recently, he's performed Mohrs on my ear and, as always, very caring, professional, and good at what he does. He is respectful to his staff and they make my experiences comforting. Thank you, Dr. Cohen for your excellent work!!!
Saw Drs. Ho and Cohen for a skin cancer situation on the back of my head. They and their staffs are caring, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was put at ease and couldn't be happier. As far as they can tell, my situation has been successfully resolved. Will see them again and recommend them!
So grateful for the professional and compassionate nurses and the brilliant Dr Cohen who has the warmest bedside manner at AboutSkin. Everything in that office is ahead of the curve. They have access to the newest technology and are highly informed on latest resources and research. Definitely check it out if you're looking for quality care!
I started EmSella for ED. I previously only had limited success with oral medications. I also have overactive bladder. EmSella makes the timing with respect to ED more natural and less forced or scheduled. With respect to my overactive bladder, again, oral medications were not successful. This procedure is less invassive than other overactive bladder treatments.
I've been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for more than 15 years and have recommended him to many of my friends. I've had procedures ranging from medical to cosmetic - including Botox, fillers, and most recently, the halo laser - and have always been extremely pleased with my results. Most importantly, Dr. Cohen and his staff at About Skin Dermatology have always listened to my concerns and worked with me to find the most suitable options that fit me and my specific concerns.
The Emsculpt Neo for Abs was explained in great detail of how it works, what to expect from the procedure (Pro's and Con's) Dr Joel Cohen answered all my questions and concerns. He provided brochures to read and links to review. I could definitely see the results from doing it. The whole experience was great! I highly recommend Emsculpt Neo for Abs. Further, I plan to schedule more Emsculpt for other parts of my body! Thank you to Dr. Joel Cohen and his professional staff for providing the Emsculpt Neo for me and his clients in Denver!!!!
I have been a long time patient of Dr. Cohen. He and his staff have treated several people in our family and they are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very thorough! I highly recommend and have recommended Dr. Cohen to friends and family.
There are times when we try to minimize facial asymmetry with filler much more on one side than another. There are even published reports using filler to minimize something called “Parry-Romberg Hemifacial Atrophy” that is a specific condition where fillers on one side are commonly employed. Usually we use volumetric fillers for this approach.
Don’t try to do more than soften it, as when too much is placed — it can look artificially flat. I like Restylane Defyne and RHA 3 for this area.
But the treatments that seem to work best are things like Halo (hybrid fractional) and photodynamic therapy (more with Ameluz). Newer treatments just Coming to market line 1726nm lasers (like Accure) can decrease the sebaceous gland size below the skin and thus seemingly decrease their outflow. Finally, longterm use of topical retinoids like Tretinoin has data on shrinking pores.
Under-eye discoloration is hard to treat, mostly because the cause is multi-factorial. Rubbing (friction causing lichenificarion), volume loss happens over time (though it doesn’t appear that is much of the issue in your photos, however your lashes obscure some of the assessment), and sometimes larger caliber vessels or even hemosiderin leaking from those vessels compounded by friction.
Treatments can only minimize but not erase scars. Combination of treatments over many sessions can be helpful including: intralesional steroid, laser assisted drug delivery, pulse dye laser and fractional ablative (when can do downtime) and fractional non-ablative (when only have a few days of downtime available). To minimize pain, I really like the Acclaro UltraClear laser ablative fractional with laser assisted drug delivery.
