Would I benefit from alarplasty? (photos)

So, i like the shape of my nose, I just want to reduce the width of my nose, and get it to stop flaring when I smile. Would an alarplasty address this?

Your right nostril narrowing incision is more visible, but you have good symmetry at the base of your nose. Scar revision may not improve your nasal appearance on front view, and this may be something to live with, depending on your examination. Dr Joseph

It is almost impossible to achieve alar or nostril symmetry. The risk for making it worst is always there.I would not recommend an alarplasty Regards Dr. Janjua

In general, the chances of infection from rhinoplasty with or without alar base reduction of very small given the great blood supply to the face. Alar base/sill reductions are very safe in experienced hands. The primary concern would be the obvious appearance of a scar which is why I recommend...
