I am an athletic woman in my late twenties. I've never liked the shape of my A cup breasts, but have always decided against breast augmentation because my lifestyle involves a lot of heavy lifting (more than my own bodyweight) with my upper body. I am wondering if there is something that can be done with the size and placement of my nipples to give the appearance of lower pole fullness.
Answer: Mini lift The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breasts To add fullness, you would need implants or fat. Implants would work better and we do have small sizes.

Answer: Fat grafting Fat grafting to the breasts can give you a little more fullness (usually about 1 cup size is the most to expect from this procedure) and can help round out the shape a bit, depending on how tight your lower pole is on physical examination. Another good option for active women who lift with their upper body a lot is a subfascial breast augmentation, as this leaves the pectoralis muscle in its anatomic position.

Answer: Breast augmentation with fat grafting or implants Based on your photos, it looks that you have two options for breast enlargement; fat grafting or implants. Fat grafting will require at least two procedures 8-12 months apart. Implant augmentation is more straight forward, cheaper, symmetric and, most likely, will provide more predictable result. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in both techniques, is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear Nurturing407799, fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts. In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
