Would facial fat transfer/grafting affect lymphatic drainage in the same manner that dermal fillers do?

I have read that dermal filler in the cheeks, and tear trough can block facial lymphatics and cause tear trough swelling. Would facial fat transfer/grafting affect lymphatic drainage in the same manner?

We usually use inner thighs as an excellent donor site for fat grafts when performing facial fat grafting. Larger quantities of fat grafts may need other sites. Good luck.

Thanks for your question and photos you provided. In this case, I have actually used the bodytite and morpheus 8 machine to help break up adhesion keeping the scalp "stuck" rather than adding volume with fat. Be sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon! Good Luck!

Fat transfer should certainly be longer lasting than fillers. In some patients they can be a permanent improvement, but it doesn't stop the aging result. So as you age, you will have more volume loss. It is not as predictable as fillers however, as about 50% of fat does resorb. We tend to...
