Been told skinny my ole face, I'm 5' 5, 120 lbs. I think my face is especially skinny (hollow checks). I researched about filler but don't like foreign object in my body, or the maintenance required. I'm looking into fat transfer after seeing reviews of promising results. Is this a safe and long-lasting procedure for my situation, thanks for any advice.
Answer: Fat transfer Fat transfer should certainly be longer lasting than fillers. In some patients they can be a permanent improvement, but it doesn't stop the aging result. So as you age, you will have more volume loss. It is not as predictable as fillers however, as about 50% of fat does resorb. We tend to overfill for that reason. Having said all of that, from your photo, it doesn't seem you need much volume. I would be careful considering a permanent or at least semi-permanent procedure that might end up making you look unnaturally full. A full face photo would be more helpful to evaluate.

Answer: Getting fat put in your face Unless you have a very clear understanding of what you’re trying to achieve I wouldn’t go out and just get facial fat transfer. The procedure is fickle, unpredictable and can be unforgiving. Personally I don’t see why you feel you need to add volume to your face. Patients should have a very clear understanding of where they need volume if they’re going to have this procedure. are you looking just to get a bigger face? Fillers is a good way to start to get an idea if you like what volume does. If you don’t then at least it will just go away on its own. If you don’t like the way fat transfer turns out you’re now stuck with permanent fat in your face that can’t really be removed or at least not easily. The grafted fat will survive unevenly depending on a variety of factor but particular how thick the host tissue layer is any to area treated. your post is the big vague. When we do cosmetic surgery we often look for patients to be able to clearly state in their own awards what the problem is. Medical treatments start by having an underlying ideology or diagnosis. Once we understand the problem then we can suggest treatment solutions. Focusing undescribing what you think the problem is. Facial fat transfer is much more difficult to do well than people believe.
