Ive been doing fillers juvederm for the last 6 years. this time i feel as though my fillers went above my lip but I’m not sure. Can it be that my upper lip has reached its maximum or can i still have it shaped better? Last time i did them was about 6 months ago
Answer: Lips perhaps overfilled Dear NiSte, Thank you for your question. If we go by the textbook, the upper lip is currently out of proportion with the lower lip, both with regards to vertical height protrusion and lateral width (sideways width) and also location of filler. You could have the lower lip treated with a tiny bit of gentle filler (e.g. Volbella) in strategic locations to make it better match the upper lip. However, different people have different tastes so it is important to see what is right for you. A thorough consultation is necessary to exactly map out what would be the right treatment and injection location for your lips. It is also important to seek treatment from a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who has the requisite training on classic proportions along with the experience of filler placement. The lip anatomy is complex. Best Wishes in your quest ! Dr. Anna Petropoulos Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Center fro Classic Beauty Boston's North Shore

Answer: Wondering if my lip is overfilled at the top or needs more filler to even out lips and smile? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Unfortunately without knowing how the injections were performed and without knowing how your tissues feel it is difficult to offer definite advice. My first inclination is to allow any swelling to resolve over the next 10-14 days. It often takes up to 2 weeks for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural. You can accelerate the process by using cold compresses to your lips and elevating your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Once at two weeks you should have a better idea as to your outcome and the potential need for dissolving of product. Hope this helps.

Answer: Are my lips over-filled? The top lip is slightly out of proportion with the bottom. I'm not sure when you had your injections. If it's been within the last two weeks, this could still be swelling. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase or touch-up with additional filler to improve symmetry. I hope this helps!

Answer: Lips, lips, lips!!!! The question is how long ago did you get your lips injected? It can take up to two weeks for all the swelling and bruising to go down. Keep icing and perhaps take some arnica capsules. After that you can decide if you'd like to take some ffilet away with hyaluronidase or add some more filler to the lower lip. For lips I really like the Juvederm Vollure, Ultra or Ultra Plus. Another great line is Restylane Refyne and Defyne. It all depends on what results you are looking for. The lips are a particularly challenging area to inject because the area is so sensitive and people talk and use muscle movement immediately following injections. There are special massaging techniques that you will be shown to avoid lumps. I also recommend a lot of icing and Arnica following lip injections. Hope this helps! All the best from Boston, Dr. Onir

Answer: Lip augmentation with Juvederm From the pictures that you have submitted, it appears that in order to achieve better balance you need to have your lower lip enlarged. Good luck from New York City
