surgery and some precautions may be taken.

I appreciate your question.You will need medical clearance from both your primary care doctor and endocrinologist.  Best to have your sugar levels under control before proceeding with elective surgery so there are no wound healing issues.

If your diabetes is well controlled and you get medical clearance then is is possible to have a BBL. Diabetics are prone to  more complications.

Hello and thank you for your question.  If you are young, healthy, and have no other medical problems, you should do well with BBL if your blood sugars have been consistently under good control and your HgA1C is less than 6.  If you have other medical problems or your sugars are not well-controlled, it is imperative that you optimize your medical health to give yourself the best chance for a safe surgery and optimal outcome.
