The implants themselves will not change but your body will change around them due to the likely weight gain of pregnancy, possible breast feeding, etc. How much your body is able to return to a pre-pregnancy shape and skin tightness will determine what the appearance of your breasts will be. This is a individual thing and not possible to predict. Some patients have no noticeable difference and others require a lift to reshape the breasts.
During pregnancy, I don't think there will be too much change to the implant but your breasts will be bigger. After you deliver your children the breast may age around the implant in a similar manner as after weight loss. The pattern is that your implant will remain in place but your breast will sag down a bit. If the changes are significant, a breast lift may later be needed. Best Wishes!!
Dear melissaibraga, There is no way to determine how your breasts will change throughout pregnancy. Many women require a breast lift after pregnancy, especially if you plan to breast feed. It would be a good idea to discuss options with your operating surgeon. Good luck!
It's next to impossible to accurately predict what will happens your breath after pregnancy. This is the case with or without breast implants. Some women will have little to no change, others will have significance volume deflation and breast drooping.I recommend waiting at least 3 to 6 months after pregnancy and after stopping breast-feeding before you have any Real View of what your breasts have settled into.In considering a breast lift or revision after pregnancy, it is very important that you seek the advice for the surgeon who is certified by the American Board of plastic surgery and has substantial experience with breast augmentation and revision.I wish you the best!Dr. Gabbay
Thank you for your question. You breasts can change a great deal from pregnancy such as changing in size and shape, and can even change more if you decide to breast feed. Many women experience deflation of their breasts as well as ptosis as a result of the changes which warrants a breast lift. This might be a realistic possibility for you as well. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
It is difficult to predict how a person's body will respond to pregnancy. Many factors go into determining how the breasts will respond including weight gain, volume change with milk production, and age to name a few.
As with any pregnancy, weight gain and body/breast changes can occur. As with any implant, the implant shouldn't change, but there is no prediction on how your augmentation will look (cosmetic result) if your breasts "sag" after weight loss and gain or are larger.
It is very normal to have some breast changes related to your menstrual cycle. That said, if you were developing capsular contracture after your operation, you certainly should seek the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon. There are some things that can be done to slow down or reverse...
Your surgeon fit your bra after surgery but swelling or other factors may have made it too tight now. It shouldn't be as uncomfortable as you have described. Please call your surgeon and discuss this
Great question. Once Cooper's ligaments are stretched they cannot be repaired. During a breast lift the excess skin from the lower breast is removed, the breast tissue itself is raised and anchored in a more superior position. The breast is held in this position by deeper sutures and tightening...
