Massage / compression after Lipo & ThermiTight under chin and jawline (photo)

Question

I'm wearing the compression band at night and whenever I can / Should I be massaging daily ? And are there any tutorials on this ? Also I'm very concerned there may be loose skin when all is done / can I start ThermiSmooth 6 weeks out or do I have to wait ?

Massaging the neck after a ThermiTight treatment will have no impact on the final result but may help to reduce swelling and discomfort in the short term.  Even so, in a clinical trial of massage vs no massage after ThermiTight to the neck, we found no appreciable difference.  ThermiSmooth treatments can be started at any time.  Good luck!

Great job on wearing the chin strap !With regards to massage that is an important step starting a week or two after ThermiTight. Perhaps your surgeon could teach you exactly how to do it. In our office we advocate going to a home improvement store and buying a small plastic roller that is used to apply chair rail wallpaper. Then with a special growth factor cream / oil we teach our patient how to massage the area. You have to do it in a certain direction so that you don't run the danger of loosening the skin even more ! We then have our patients enjoy their ThermiSmooth treatments with us which is like a warm gooey massage that is so relaxing like you are in heaven !  That tightens the skin even further. You can start your ThermiSmooths now and enjoy them !  (PS you might even wish to consider a Fractora treatment as well which tightens the face throughout (incl eyelids and forehead, jowls, jawline, neck) and addresses texture too. I recommend my patients to wear the compressive headband for the first 24 hours after the procedure. After this, they are instructed to wear it nightly for two weeks. I think this helps to make you more comfortable and bring down some of the swelling associated with the procedure. ThermiSmooth to other areas of the face can be done simultaneously or shortly after ThermiTight to the neck. Hope this helps.
