I got liposuction BA and BBL 2 weeks ago. How much longer should I wait to return to work I still have numbness and feel pretty stiff in my abdominal area and sides and back!? I'm a dancer and wonder how long people would normally wait to go back to work

Thank you for the question.   I would advise my patient not to return to work for a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the post op course,  but this decision should be made by your operating surgeon who is familiar with you and the procedures performed.    Good Luck

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  Because of the intensity and vigorous nature of your profession it is likely best to allow a full 6 weeks to pass before returning to work.  This will help minimize the risks of poor healing.  Hope this helps.

Your doctor is the best one to guide you in terms of return to work, which in your case probably requires vigorous activity( i.e dancing).  I normally tell patients give it 3-4 weeks for dancing but heavy lifting even longer.

My humble opinion is to always keep close contact with your surgeon and ask him any questions you may have.  He would be best person to answer.  Surgeons have their protocols and different post op instructions based on training and experience.The techniques used will effect their instructions as well.  The instructions does effect the results.
