Is it possible to have liposuction incisions for flanks only in the back? Or is it necessary to do incisions in the back and the front to contour the waist? I️ am very athletic with a nice/built abdomen and weigh 104 lbs so the liposuction would be extremely minimal.

Incisions could be placed low and towards the back in the bikini line to avoid visibility. Another option you may consider would be Coolsculpting where the fat is removed without surgery and without a scar. The flanks usually have a bit of redundant skin which is necessary for the Coolsculpting device to attach.

For liposuction of the flanks it should be possible for your incisions to be well hidden and placed in the back if that is where you desire but this will ultimately depend on your physical exam and discussion with your board certified operating surgeon. The incisions for liposuction are very small and typically fade beautifully, making them very difficult to find once you are fully healed. I hope this helps and I wish you all of the best!
