Is it possible to have liposuction incisions for flanks only in the back?

This will depend on your anatomy and needs an in-person evaluation. For best results with liposuction, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. It sounds like you are thin and only need a small amount of liposuction. Incisions could be placed low and towards the back in the bikini line to avoid visibility. Another option you may consider would be Coolsculpting where the fat is removed without surgery and without a scar. The flanks usually have a bit of redundant skin which is necessary for the Coolsculpting device to attach.

Hi GymChick279 and thank you for your question.  For liposuction of the flanks it should be possible for your incisions to be well hidden and placed in the back if that is where you desire but this will ultimately depend on your physical exam and discussion with your board certified operating surgeon.  The incisions for liposuction are very small and typically fade beautifully, making them very difficult to find once you are fully healed.  I hope this helps and I wish you all of the best!

Yes it's possible to do the flank liposuction from the back only in my experience, I usually use two small incisions on each side.

In most cases, liposuction of the flanks can be performed with the patient lying on their stomach and placing incisions on the back only.  This is especially true in thinner women.  If the patient was heavier and had more excess fat on the front additional incisions on the front may have to be made.  

Liposuction is a local surgical procedure that removes excess fats on specific regions of the body. It is possible to have a liposuction on the flanks alone, but you will first have to be examined. It is hard to say where you would be having incisions without any photo. Schedule an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon of your choice for an in-person examination.

Yes you can have the incisions be placed on the back for flank and back liposuction.  Also, note that the incisions are so small that your should not be able to see them.  When choosing a palstic surgeon for your liposuction make sure the doc shows you at least four views from each patient - front, quarter turn, profile and back views, from under the breast to mid thigh.  Andre Aboolian, Plastic Surgeon, Beverly Hills California, andreaboolian.com
