Is it ok to fly 5 days after a BBL?

Question

I def picked the wrong time to get this procedure. My kids start school sept 4 and my procedure is August 26. I'm flying back home the 31st. The plane ride is 3 hrs. I've had 4 c sections with no complications was walking straight out of the surgery to help prevent any complications . So is it ok to fly for 3 hrs after 5 days ?

Thank you for your question, I regularly advice my patients to stay at least 7 to 10 days within the area before traveling back home, the fist days after the procedure are a little difficult for the patient to get around so its important for them to be close to the office; I also do this for the reason that its best to wait at least a week before sitting on your buttocks on the plane for long periods of time, a patient with a Brazilian butt lift must wait at least two weeks before sitting on their buttocks for the fat to survive.Good Luck.Salvador Pantoja M.D.

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to wait at least 10 days before flying back to home, and you should not sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

I generally advise no flying for 7-10 days after the BBL procedure.   flying after just 5 days would make me concerned.  Please talk to your PS about your recovery.

Often it is best to stay in the city of treatment for a few weeks during the early recovery to make sure things are healing well. Best to ask your surgeon his thoughts on flying so soon after surgery.
