Most patients can return to a sedentary job after 2 weeks. Exercise can usually be resumed in 4 to 6 weeks. Find a BBL expert who performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
I really discuss healing with butt augmentation patients in two respects. At first the patients are wanting to know when the swelling and discomfort will get better, and that takes a couple of weeks. During this time the swelling is usually not even on the two sides and patients worry they will end up uneven. But it evens up when the swelling goes down. The bigger healing question is when will I know the fat has "taken" and not going to disappear. Once you are 3 months post op it is my experience that the fat is taken and stable. Also remember your stomach and flanks will also be improved due to the lipo fat harvest. Removing the fat from the flank "love handle" area is especially important since making the area right above the buttock smaller makes the buttock look better and fuller already, and then adding the fat to the buttock makes it that much better.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I recommend my patients to allow 2-4 weeks for recovery, and to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, but each doctor has their own protocol. I also recommend not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. It is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
When will you be able to return to work after a buttock augmentation depends on the amount of fat harvested and grafted, your tolerance to pain, and the type of work that you do. I recommend my patients not to drive automobile or machinery while taking narcotics for pain control, and not to sit for long periods of time at least 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. If you have a good pain tolerance, and your job allows you to avoid sitting, you may will be able to go back to work as soon as one week after surgery.
Hello! The time it takes to heal depends on multiple factors, such as your age, your overall health and fitness, and how much surgery was done. The average Butt Augmentation patient takes at least one week off work, and sometimes two, if possible. The harvest site is very sore after the fat is removed, and the Butt is sore from the transfer.Good Luck!
