Thank you for your question, typical breast reduction procedure depending on the type of incision and design, does include an uplift as part of the procedure. Please visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for in person consultation.
This is a question that is frequently asked, and the answer can be a bit confusing!A breast reduction removes a significant amount of breast tissue, and during the operation the nipple is lifted to a higher position, so yes, a breast reduction does include a lift. However, a breast lift does not include a breast reduction. During a breast lift a small amount of breast tissue is removed in order to reposition the nipple to a higher position, and the shape of the breast is improved as well as the remaining breast tissue is tailored and repositioned to produce a "perkier" appearing breast. Thanks for your question.
Often, the exact same dissection and techniques are used for a lift and a reduction. With a reduction, more tissue is removed. That's all. See the before and afters or testimonials from your surgeon's patients and choose the one you feel the most comfortable with and will get you the best result!!
Thank you for the question.Breast reduction surgery is one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. By removing “excess” breast tissue, adipose tissue, and breast skin this operation reduces AND lifts the breasts to a higher position on the chest wall (in other words, the breasts are "automatically" lifted when a breast reduction is performed). By doing so, patients often find improvement in neck, back, and shoulder discomfort and find it easier to form their activities of daily living and exercise. Best wishes.
Yes, a competent plastic surgeon will your breasts while reducing their size. Seek a qualified plastic surgeon who has expertise in doing these procedures.
During a reduction, tissue and skin is removed and nipples are lifted, so yes you are getting somewhat of a lift with a reduction.
In general, a lift is preformed with the reduction to set the nipple areola complex to a higher position on the chest. Best of luck.
During a breast reduction, some of the breast tissue is removed to reduce the volume of the breast. The remaining breast tissue is rearranged, and the nipples and areola are moved up to a higher position. The end result is a breast that looks lifted. Best wishes.
That is a great question. A breast reduction does generally incorporate a lift. When reducing the volume, the skin envelope is tightened leading to a more lifted appearance. If a reduction is performed with liposuction alone, which is rare, than a lift would not be a part of the reduction. Best of luck.
You ask a great question. The answer is yes, a breast reduction by definition comes with a lift because the nipple and areola are moved upwards to the ideal anatomic position on the breast, which is essentially right at the inframammary fold (the fold under your breast). A breast reduction also includes the removal of excess breast tissue to reshape the breast and make it smaller. A lift will only address the position of the nipple and areola, and does not make the breast smaller. Both procedures make the breasts "perkier" and less droopy, hence the term "lift".
Thank you for your question and you probably will need a reduction at some point but without photos it is difficult to answer your question directly. You need to consider several items which could affect your decision to have surgery. You have not fully matured and your breast may...
If you're getting your breast reduction paid for by the Canadian health service, you would have to ask your plastic surgeon how long the wait would be. If you're paying for the surgery yourself, the wait will be dependent on when the surgeon has an opening in his/her surgery schedule along with...
Thank you for your questions and photos. The answer to your question is yes. Yes, you can have a reduction/lift and get perkier breasts that are an approximate B-cup. Without an exam to determine stretch, tissue quality, amount of dense breast tissue, etc. it is impossible for me to...
