Skin around nipple dark and falling off after breast reduction. Will I lose the entire nipple? (Photo)

Thank you for your question and pictures.Because the skin underneath is pink, you will probably not lose the entire nipple.

Ask your plastic surgeon for an assessment. From your photos it appear that the pink spot within the darkened areola may be underlying pink skin. That rim on the periphery will likely slough off but should recover.  It will take time and will look pink for a while and hopefully the pigment will return.  It may take months though, so just be patient.

Appears i  the posted photos a second degree loss. BUT only in person directed examination can make this diagnosis...
