9'weeks post op BA and having intermittent breast pain.

Question

I'm 9 weeks post BA 350cc saline under muscle. Over the past few days when I move my implant it's been sore. It's moving around freely and my breast hasn't become any firmer. But it's bothering me. It also happens when I wake up in the morning and push on my breast but then when I sit up its slot better. Is this a CC? Or just going through the normal healing process?

Your pain issues are very normal for this time of your recovery. They should subside over the next month or two. Continue to follow up with your surgeon.

You should make an appointment with your plastic surgeon for an in person examination as the symptoms you are describing could indicate a number of things. More pictures would be helpful, but having your doctor examine you and prescribe further treatment is probably necessary. Good luck!

9 weeks is still in the early phases. Sometimes nerves can be stretched in the surgery. After 3 months things should be very close to normal. Make sure you discuss your concerns with your doctor.

Thank you for your question. You are still very early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the selling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position.  The implants may swell asymmetrically, and even distort the implants appearance, but usually settle evenly. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Thanks for the question. Its too early to talk about final results. In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

your breast pain at this time after your surgery is not abnormal. give it time and this should resolve. if you had CC, you would begin to get more and more firmness. the inside pocket should be well healed in 3 to 4 months after surgery and you will not get those same feelings.
