I don't want a hysterectomy. I'm looking for a doctor or team that could remove my fibroids and then perform a tummy tuck directly after, all in one procedure. (Previously, I had fibroids removed in 2010).
Answer: Bad idea Data shows that combining intra-abdominal surgeries with a tummy tuck significantly increases the risk of all complications.

Answer: Tummy Tuck with Fibroid Removal Hello Taylormade747. Thank you for your question regarding undergoing a tummy tuck alongside fibroid removal. While it is technically possible to combine fibroid removal with a tummy tuck in a single procedure, I recommend prioritizing your fibroid removal first and then considering the tummy tuck afterward. Fibroid removal is a significant procedure on its own, and ensuring your body has fully recovered from that surgery is crucial before undergoing additional procedures. By focusing on the fibroid removal first, you allow your body the time it needs to heal properly. Once you have fully recovered and your health is stable, you can then consider the tummy tuck to achieve the cosmetic results you desire. This approach minimizes the risks associated with combining two major surgeries and allows for a more controlled and safer recovery process. After your fibroid removal, you can consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss the appropriate timing and planning for your tummy tuck. This way, you can achieve the best possible results with the least risk to your health. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Tummy Tuck & Fibroids removal Thanks so much for your question, Fibroids often receive their blood supply from uterine arteries. Removing fibroids during a tummy tuck may involve navigating around blood vessels, which can pose challenges and increase the risk of complications, such as excessive bleeding. It may be more prudent to address one concern first and then plan a separate surgery for the other issue. This staged approach can minimize risks and optimize outcomes. Sincerely Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Combining procedures It is possible to have two procedures on the same surgical day but it will take some coordinating on your part. You will need to find two surgeons who have privileges at the same hospital, have open surgical dates and times to accommodate this request, and who are willing to combine the fibroid removal with the tummy tuck.

Answer: Tummy tuck Many surgeons will do a tummy tuck at the same time as gynecological surgery and some won’t. Some just don’t think it’s a good idea and then there are issues of scheduling and extra hospital costs that make it difficult to do the two procedures together
