Aside from my stomach, I’m concerned about my enlarged pubic area. I got a quote for a tummy tuck and I opted to pay extra for the liposuction on the mons pubis since I’m embarrassed. I got a quote to add a pubic lift to my full tummy tuck for an additional $2,000. Are patients generally happy with the results of a pubic life and glad they spent the extra money?

Answer: Pubis Yes, most patients are very happy to have liposuction or a lift done to the pubis at the same time as the tummy tuck. Otherwise, you will not be happy and will want it done.

Answer: Depends on your goals It really depends on how much of an improvement you want from the pubic lift, and if this improvement can be achieved by your surgeon. It would be a good idea to discuss this with your surgeon, so that you can then make a decision on whether it would be "worth it".

Answer: Pubic lift during tummy tuck surgery To me an ideal tummy tuck has tight skin (but not excessive so that it looks fake), nice contouring that gives natural shape to the sides and potentially muscle definition), a natural belly button that is indrawn and hides the scars, and a very low, well hidden scar.

Answer: Pubic lift You appear to be a great candidate for a tummy tuck. Typically the pubic area is lifted somewhat with the tummy tuck. If it is listed as an extra item from your surgeon I would encourage you to proceed since you mentioned this area as a concern for you.
